The Harrisburg University community is officially invited to join the students of Tabletop Game Design Studio (IMED 315) in a public playtest.
When: Friday, October 17, 11:15 AM–2:15 PM
Where: Harrisburg University Student Union (Second Floor @ The Whitaker Center)
Co-taught by Professors Greg Loring-Albright, Ph.D., and Anthony Ortega, Tabletop Game Design Studio challenges students to ideate, develop, and playtest a board game or card game as a semester-long project. The public playtest is an opportunity for HU students, staff, and faculty to experience the creativity of their peers and provide invaluable feedback to help improve the students’ designs.
Representatives from this course will take their games to a major tabletop gaming convention — PAX Unplugged — in late November, where they will demonstrate and playtest with industry figures and board gaming enthusiasts. Your playtesting feedback will help our students improve their games in advance of this exciting opportunity!
Additionally, there will be raffle prizes for participants. Each time a playtester plays a game, they will receive a raffle ticket, which can then be placed in one of several prize boxes. Prizes will be announced near the end of the playtest session, but if you are not present you can still win the prize (you will be contacted after the event is over).
