Bring your family and friends for fun with board games, card games, giant Jenga, cornhole, and more! Drop in any time between 4–8 PM.

Funds raised will benefit Extra Life, a program of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Extra Life unites thousands of gamers around the world to play games and raise funds that go directly to local children’s hospitals, providing critical treatments, healthcare services, and support for kids and their families.

On Dec 5th Carlisle Theatre will be delving into the realms of roleplaying with Pest Control for their 3rd event on the historical stage of the Carlisle Theatre. Cast will be led by resident Dungeon Master Anthony Geraci on holiday journey into the home-brewed world of Entropy, where Gods and Mortals co-mingle and the ever looming horror of the Plot is kept ever at bay by the world’s heroes (who do their best not to care).

Happy Valley Puzzles is teaming up with speedpuzzling.com to to host a mini speed puzzling tournament on Nov 29! This Super Saturday event has locations across the country, including Mechanicsburg, PA (near Harrisburg)!

The Dillsburg Game Night group will be hosting their 7th annual Board Game Sale and Swap on Saturday, Nov. 15th!

Those interested in selling or swapping their (new and used) games will be able to from 12:00pm-3:00pm. In addition, open gaming hours will be 12:00pm-10:00pm.

They are hopeful to have several food trucks at the event during lunch and will provide more details soon.

Pizza will be available for dinner.

Sellers can bring in games, miniatures, and other collectibles to sell to fellow adventurers—in exchange for store credit. It’s a community-powered sale for gamers, by gamers.

CarConPA is a non-profit social club devoted to board gaming and community. Their signature event is a 12-hour board game convention in south central Pennsylvania. This year it will be held at the Carlisle Eagles (26 E High St, Carlisle, PA) on November 1, 2025, from 10 am to 10 pm.

Celebrate Halloween early with Lazarus Games’ Boo Bash, a fun, family-friendly event featuring in-store trick-or-treating, a raffle, and a costume contest. Guests can enjoy themed treat stations hosted by the staff, earn raffle tickets throughout the day, and compete for gift card prizes during the evening costume contest (5:30–8:30 PM).

Prizes include a $25 gift card for the adult winner and a $15 gift card for the kids winner. Plus, the Ghostbusters Ecto-Mobile will be on site after 5 p.m. to handle any spooky activity — though anyone dressed as a ghost might want to stay on their toes!

The Harrisburg University community is officially invited to join the students of Tabletop Game Design Studio (IMED 315) in a public playtest.

Co-taught by Professors Greg Loring-Albright, Ph.D., and Anthony Ortega, Tabletop Game Design Studio challenges students to ideate, develop, and playtest a board game or card game as a semester-long project. The public playtest is an opportunity for HU students, staff, and faculty to experience the creativity of their peers and provide invaluable feedback to help improve the students’ designs.
